grandchildren of Drury and Elizabeth Bobbitt of Warren and Moore Counties in North Carolina. James was a first cousin once removed to William Bobbitt of Fayette County, Alabama. I have been unable to locate James or his family in later census records.

The interesting person in this record is Claiborn Bobbitt 76, born in North Carolina. Claiborn was a son of John and Sarah Jones Bobbitt of Warren County, North Carolina. His father, John Bobbitt migrated to Warren County, Kentucky. Apparently Claiborn moved to Alabama before 1825, since this census states that he was born in Alabama.
