Since I am not a direct bloodline descendant, my father, Charles
Eugene Oyler, being adopted into this famiy, I would like to request
that you add the email address of my cousin who is a direct
bloodline descendant. His name is Dwayne Oyler and his email address
is oyler@hotmail.com. I did the research for Dwayne to help him out
with his family history.Dwayne's father (Johnny Oyler) and I grew up
together in Kansas. My father and Johnny's father (Donald Davis
Oyler)were brothers (my dad being the one adopted) and Johnny's
father direct bloodline.
Thank you I think this will help us in our further research of this
family.

Aaron Iredell Morgan was born Oct 1820 in Whitley Co. Kentucky the
son of William Morgan and Elizabeth Bobbitt. Iredell's family
subsequently moved to Shelby Co. Illinois where he married Lucretia
Webb 9 June 1843 Shelby Co Illinois, dtr of John Webb and Elizabeth
Young of Nashville, Davidson Co Tennessee and who migrated to Shelby
Co Illinois where they both died. Lucretia was born abt 1824
Davidson Co Tennesee. It is not certain when she died or where.
Iredell remained in Shelby Co Illinois until 1855 when he left and
arrived in Parker Co Texas in 1856.
On 22 Jan 1861 he purchased 160 acres in Parker Co. Texas.
He was a blacksmith, as was his father, and many of his male
descendants also were blacksmiths. The first seven of his 10
children were born in Shelby Co Illinois. The last three being born
in Parker Co Texas.
I'm am not certain when Lucretia died but sometime between 1866 and
1870 after the birth of her last child Martha Ann Morgan.
By 1870 Iredell had lost his wife and left Parker Co Texas and went
to the area of Southwest City, McDonald Co. Missouri. He remarried a
second time 27 July 1871 McDonald Co. Missouri to Elizabeth "Lizzy"
Boosby, whom I believe was a widow with several children. I also
think her last name is misspelled and that it may have been BUSBY.
He remained in McDonald Co Missouri for a few years after his 2nd
marriage, when he once again returned to Texas. With his 2nd wife he
had one son. This time he settled in Jack County for a number of
years and by 1900 had moved in with his youngest daughter Martha Ann
Morgan and her husband Jefferson D. Acord in Wise Co. Texas
He died 13 May 1906 probably in Wise Co. Texas.
His children with Lucretia Webb were:
1) George Martin Morgan b 22 Dec 1843 Shelby Co Illinois married lst
Mary Unetia Brooks 2nd) Rebecca Ann Smith. He died 26 April 1898
Missouri. George was a blacksmith.
2) Anna Elizabeth Morgan b 1845 Shelby Co Illinois married John
Edward Oyler 3 Nov 1870 McDonald Co. Missouri. They had a son
Charles Samuel Oyler b 5 April 1881 Southwest City, McDonald Co
Missouri who married Ruby Ethel Coltharp 1 Oct 1906 Independence,
Montgomery Co. Kansas. Charles and Ruby adopted my father Charles
Eugene Oyler a/k/a Clarence Ugene Whitaker in 1920. Anna Elizabeth
Morgan Oyler died as a result of her dress catching on fire while
she was burning off the family garden spot. She died 1904 and is
buried in the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery, Miami, Ottawa Co.
Oklahoma with her husband. My grandfather Charles Samuel Oyler died
Dec 30 1961 Havana, Montgomery Co Kansas and is buried in the Havana
Cemetery.
3) William P. Morgan b abt 1847 Shelby Co Illinois
4) Mariah Morgan b abt 1848 Shelby Co Illinois
5) Emily Morgan b abt 1851 Shelby Co Illinois d bef 1860
6) Mary Caroline Morgan b 8 Jan 1853 Shelby Co Illinois d 17 July
1932. I don't know who she married or where she died.
7) Lorenzo Dow Morgan b Dec 1854 Shelby Co Illinois married Mary A.
_____. He may have died in Rogers Co Oklahoma where he was living in
1910. Lorenzo was a blacksmith.
8] Thomas G Morgan b abt 1858 Parker Co Texas
9) Abraham Lincoln Morgan b Sept 1860 Parker Co Texas d 1928 Jack Co
Texas married Alice Ada Murray. Buried Oakview Cemtery, Jacksboro,
Jack Co Texas
10) Martha Ann Morgan b 6 June 1866 Parker Co Texas d 25 April 1940
Susanville, Lassen Co California married abt 1884 Jefferson David
Acord. This family went up through Stephens Co. Oklahoma before
moving on to California. Jeff probably died there in 16 Sept 1916.
By 1920 Martha is with her children living in Honey Lake, Lassen Co
California. This is the family that Iredell Morgan was living with
in Wise Co Texas a few years prior to his death.
His child with Elizabeth:
Byard M. Morgan b 10 June 1874 Jack Co Texas d 15 June 1955 Dill
City, Wa****a Co. Oklahoma. Byard also was a blacksmith. He married
Sarah J. ____. They are buried in the South Burns Cemetery, Dill
City, Oklahoma.
Iredell's maternal grandparents were Capt William Levi Bobbitt and
Nancy Ann McKenzie of Virginia. William served as a Captain in the
Revolutionary War. The Bobbitt's died in Mt. Plains, Carroll Co.
Virginia. Iredell's mother Elizabeth Bobbitt was born in
Pittsvylania Co. Virginia 1775 and died 1864 Shelby Co Illinois. HIs
father William Morgan was born 15 Sept 1770 Edgecombe Co North
Carolina and died 3 Oct 1853 Shelby Co. Illinois.
