2 males 15 20 (1820-1825) 1 female 60 70 (1770-1780)
1 male 20 30 (1810-1820)
1 male 60 70 (1770-1780)
I am unable to identify the young males in this census record. I can only assume that they are nephews, or other relatives of either William or Nancy.
Listed immediately after William Bobbitt Senior was William Bobbitt Junior. The census records were usually made between the first of June and the first of September. In these early records there were no dates of when the census was taken. Here in 1840 was the record of William Bobbitt Junior.
1 male 20 - 30 (1810-1820) no females.
Recorded in Grayson County on October 22, 1840 was the marriage of William Bobbitt to Beulah Moore. I am certain that this William Bobbitt was the son of William and Nancy (Clifton) Bobbitt. He was born in 1820.
On September 15, 1841, a deed recorded in book 8, page 539, in Grayson County gives more insight into the family.
"This indenture between Absolam Williams and Sally (Bobbitt) Williams, his wife, and William Bobbitt and Nancy (Clifton) Bobbitt, his wife, and Reed Dunkin, all of Grayson County,....for eight hundred dollars ..... a parcel of land, containing 200 acres, conveyed by the said Bobbitt, and a parcel of land 195 acres, conveyed by the said Absolam Williams, land on Big Reed Island River,....to a corner of William Bobbitt's land, down to a creek, to Big Field Branch, up the same to the head, thence to James Bobbitts line, to a stake, with James Bobbitts line, north .........
SARAH WILLIAMS
WILLIAM BOBBITT
NANCY BOBBITT
This is the last recorded action of William and Nancy Bobbitt. After the sale of this land, Absolam Williams and his wife Sally (Bobbitt) Williams left Grayson County and Went to Lawrence County Missouri. Randolph Bobbitt was in Pulaski County Kentucky. Before 1850, William and Buleah had moved to Howard County Missouri. Lucy Bobbitt Hill and her husband George Hill moved to Missouri.
