William Henry Bobbitt died on January 21, 1892 in Littleton North Carolina. He was buried in the Littleton Sunset Hill cemetery. Although, William was a veteran of the Confederate States of America he was buried in a Union cemetery.

In the Littleton Baptist church there is a stained glass window which has the notation of "In memory of W. H. Bobbitt 1820 - 1892." In a large south window, "1829 L. E. Bobbitt, given by daughter, Cora A. Bobbitt." On a smaller window to the left facing south is a window given by "Husband, Eugene C. Bobbitt In Memory of Mrs. Cora A. Bobbitt 1876 member of this church 1942."
