"Robert Wellington Bobbitt was as many of his relatives, superintendent of the Monroe County farm for the poor. Robert and his wife, Harriet are both buried in the Oak Grove Church cemetery.

"Henry Paxton Bobbitt, son of Gibson and Elizabeth Bobbitt, was married to Miss Bettie Duncan, a daughter of William Duncan of Waiteville. Their first son was Otey Bobbitt, who married Della Talbot, daughter of George Talbot.

"Georgia Glenna Bobbitt, daughter of Henry and Bettie, was married to Homer Leach, a son of Harvey and Florence Leach. A part of their lives was spent in Washington, D. C., where Homer was on the National Police force of the city. He had served as a messenger for Governor General Wood, who was stationed in the Island of Cuba at the close of the Spanish and American War. They had one son, Roy Leach, who lives in Amarillo, Texas.

"Frederick Bobbitt son of Henry, was at the time of his death an employee of a coal company in Fayette County. Angry mine strikers falsely accused him of siding with the mine owners and mine guards. During the strike, several of the misinformed strikers attacked him when he was alone and ended his life. The Unions were well protected by attorneys and no convictions were possible. Fred married Nell Thompson, of the town of Hinton.

"Stala Gibson Bobbitt, came with his parents to Carson County, Texas, from Greenbrier County in 1905. Stala Gibson Bobbitt was married to Margaret Held, a daughter of Ludwig Held, and a sister of George Held of Panhandle, Texas. They had two sons and three daughters. The sons, Glen and Fredie, live in Phillips, Texas. The three daughters are married. Charlotte married M. V. Moss and lives at Carlsbad. Helen married Knox Whitney and lives in Panhandle. Geraldine married John Nunn and lives in Panhandle, Texas.

"Harry Bobbitt is married and living in Dallas, Texas where he was engaged in the wholesale tire business. Dwight the youngest son in the family in married and living near Dallas, Texas. Henry Paxton Bobbitt and his wife moved to Dallas, where they both died. Lake, Harry, Dwight, and Lucy are the only children who survive in this family. (1949)

"William Maston Bobbitt was the eighth son of Gibson and Elizabeth Bobbitt. He married first Alice Leach, a daughter of Robert Leach of Monroe County. Alice Leach was a sister to Virginia Leach the wife of Pendleton Bobbitt. They had three sons and two daughters, including two who died young. The eldest son was Earl Bobbitt who married a Kountz of Fayette
