"Pierce Bobbitt was the second son of William and Alice Bobbitt. He also became a railroad engineer. Pierce Bobbitt died suddenly in a restaurant as he was leaving to go to work. He married Mary Sue Eakin of Alderson. They had one son, Pierce C. Junior and five daughters, Ruth, Grace, Louise, Virginia and Jean.
"Pierce Bobbitt's remains were brought to White Deer, Texas, and buried in the White Deer Cemetery. Sue his wife is still living with her brother, L. 0. Eakin of White Deer, Texas.
"Mary and Clina are the two daughters of William Bobbitt. Mary married a Mr. Fick of Fargo, North Dakota. Clina married and lives in Seattle, Washington. William Bobbitt married the second time to Nannie Eakin, a sister of Bettie and Harriet Bobbitt, and a daughter of William Duncan of Waiteville. William died at Wolf Creek, and the Eakin family moved to Texas, accompanied by Clyde Bobbitt, where he died at White Deer, in the fall of 1968. He was the youngest son of William and Alice Bobbitt. Clyde Bobbitt was married to Ethel Eakin, and they had one son named William Henry Bobbitt.
"Floyd Preston Bobbitt was the ninth and youngest son of Gibson and Elizabeth Bobbitt. He married Sallie R. Brown, a daughter of Garland Brown of Greenbrier County. They had five sons, Walter, Bert, Carry, Gilmer, Alta Forest, and Jessie. Walter married Carrie Lemons, daughter of Creigh Lemons. The daughters of Floyd and Sallie Bobbitt were Mae, Clara, and Ina. Mae married James Price. Clara married Hanley MacFursin.
"Jessie the youngest son of Floyd and Sallie Bobbitt is deceased. He was principal of the Roncerverte High School at the time of his death in 1947. He and several students were killed in an automobile accident.
"Louisa Ann Bobbitt was the eldest daughter of Gibson Bobbitt She married Oliver Foster of Wolf Creek. They had one son and one daughter. The son was George Burman Foster. George Foster married Mary Lou Lyon and they had two sons and a daughter. The sons both died of influenza while in army training in Fort Houston Texas. The daughter was drowned in Lake Muncie, Illinois. George Foster died in 1918 and at his instructions, his body was cremated and placed in an urn. The urn was buried in the cemetery of the Broad Run Baptist Church in Monroe County.
"The daughter of Louisa Ann (Bobbitt) Foster was Emma Foster. She married John Coalter of Wolf Creek. After the death of Louisa Ann Bobbitt, Oliver Foster married again and had several children."
