"Robert Lee Bobbitt was written up in "WHO'S WHO IN AMERICA" a few years ago and the article gave a long and impressive list of his honors and accomplishments. It did not, however, touch on many of the personal things which you almost have to pry out of this interesting, genial and modestly proud lawyer, so I will try to cover a few of them.
"Judge Bobbitt was born on the family farm at Cobb Creek out of Hillsboro, Texas, where his father had established a homestead after coming to Texas from Virginia by way of Missouri in a covered wagon in the 1870's. There were ten boys and four girls who lived to maturity and some of them still live on the old home place.
"The Judge started his education at Carlyle Military Academy in Arlington, then on to North Texas State and then finished up with a Law Degree at the University of Texas where he spent part of his time as an Assistant Professor.
