[17]"James Bobbitt, minister of the Gospel, farmer, and politician died at his home in English, Indiana on December 1, 1915 as a result of a stroke. He had almost recovered from a similar attack of last February and was planning in conjunction with Elder Samson Cox to hold a series of revivals this winter. While in apparent good health he had a premonition of death and that it was near. Only three days before the fatal stroke he outlined his desires in his business affairs and made his funeral plans, even some of the songs he wished to have sung. On Monday morning he seemed in fine spirits, ate a hearty dinner and started to make some minor repairs on his home, when he sank down unconscious He was buried by the Masonic Order in Erkerty Cemetery which is located on a hill overlooking the farm on which he enjoyed the last 15 years of his life."
