Drury Bobbitt was born in 1744 and was the eldest child and son. Drury married Elizabeth Harris and had five sons and six daughters. He had a son named Drury Bobbitt Junior, a nephew named Drury Bobbitt and a grandson named Drury Bobbitt. He also had a grand-nephew by the name of Drury Bobbitt. Drury Bobbitt lived in Warren County until 1816 when he moved to Moore County. He died in Moore County in 1824. Several of his sons and daughters moved to Tennessee after the death of Drury Bobbitt Senior.
Winnie Bobbitt was born in 1746. She married John Golightly. She and her family are believed to have migrated to Kentucky. She is not listed in the records after 1800.
Stephen Bobbitt was born in 1747. He married Celah Harris, daughter of James Harris of Warren County. Celah and Stephen Bobbitt had six sons and five daughters who lived to maturity. Stephen left a will in which he mentions all of his children. Stephen and Celah Bobbitt lived and died in Warren County. Some of their sons and daughters migrated to Tennessee and Alabama.
John Bobbitt was born in 1749. He married Sarah (Jones) Williams. John lived in Franklin County and early in the 1800's migrated to Warren County Kentucky where he died in 1824.
Alston Bobbitt was born in 1752, he married and had at least one daughter. Alston Bobbitt died young and before John Richard Bobbitt wrote his will in 1789. We think his wife was Mary Sauls.
Isham Bobbitt was born in 1754. He married Elizabeth James who was a cousin of Susannah James, the wife of Isham's brother, William. Isham was a soldier in the Revolutionary War. Isham and Elizabeth Bobbitt had six sons and six daughters who lived to maturity. Isham and his family lived in South Carolina, Kentucky, and Illinois. Isham died in Morgan County, Illinois in 1836.
Randolph Bobbitt was born in 1755. He married Elizabeth Harris. Randolph and Elizabeth Bobbitt had five sons and one daughter. Elizabeth Harris was a sister to Patience Harris who married John Bobbitt, son of Miles Bobbitt.
Sally Bobbitt was born in 1758. Sarah married James Dearden. The Dearden family was a large family in North Carolina. Sally is not listed in the 1800 census and is believed to have migrated to South Carolina. The daughters in the family of John Richard Bobbitt have been very difficult to trace. Since most of the daughters and their families migrated there is little information left by the family.
