The Crawford County Democrat of English, Indiana gave this account of Dr. J. Franklin Bobbitt's death.
" Dr. Frank Bobbitt 80, Christian lay minister died at his home here. Death was caused from coronary occlusion. He had been in ill health for the last year. .
" Born in Crawford County) he was the son of the late Reverend and Mrs. James Bobbitt. A school teacher who had taught in the Phillipine Islands. He was professor of Education in Chicago University.
"Survivors include his wife, Mabel Deiwert Bobbitt, a daughter Margaret B. Miller, by a former marriage. Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death, they were Dr. Douglas Bobbitt and Arthur Bobbitt, and Mrs. Emma Summers. There are two grandsons, a half-brother and three half-sisters who also survive. Final rites were held in Shelbyville."
