1718 - First Bobbitt to live in North Carolina was John Bobbitt of Chowan Precinct. John was born in Charles City County, Virginia in 1678. He married Sarah Green and died in 1736 near the present day town of Halifax. He was the father of Thomas Bobbitt and William Bobbitt.
1704 - William Bobbitt, son of John Bobbitt of Chowan, was born in Virginia in 1704. He married Amy Bennett and was the father of John Richard and William Bobbitt.
1708 - Thomas Bobbitt, son of John Bobbitt of Chowan, was born in 1706 in Virginia. After his father died in 1736, Thomas returned to Virginia. He died in Sussex County, Virginia in 1759.
1725 - John Richard Bobbitt was born in 1725 in North Carolina. He was a son of William and Amy (Bennett) Bobbitt. He married Amy Alston in 1743 and was the father of, Drury, Stephen, Alston, John, Isham, and William Bobbitt. John died in Warren County in 1791.
1727 - William Bobbitt, son of William and Amy (Bennett) Bobbitt was born in North Carolina in 1727. we are not certain who he married but believe it was a daughter of William Eaton. His family is not well documented. He had sons William, John, and Arthur, perhaps others. He lived in Granville and Orange counties.
1731 - Miles Bobbitt was born in 1731 and his birth was recorded in the Bristol Parish of Virginia. He was a son of Lewis and Elizabeth (Moore) Bobbitt. He moved with his parents from Virginia to North Carolina in 1753. He married Martha Powell, her name believed to have been Mary Martha Powell. He was the father of Jacob, John, Joshua, Jubilee and William Bobbitt. He lived and died in Warren County.
1738 - William Bobbitt born in 1738 in Virginia, was a son of Lewis and Elizabeth (Moore) Bobbitt. He moved with the family to North Carolina in 1753. He married Martha Turner and was the father of 6 or 7 sons. By his first wife the sons were, Sion, William, Turner, Solomon, and by his second wife, Lively Hight, the sons were, Allen and Archibald Bobbitt. William died in Raleigh, North Carolina in 1825.
