Mary Louise Bobbitt daughter of John G. Bobbitt married J. B. Holliday on May 3, 1877 at the Bobbitt homestead in Chapin Illinois. They had four children, Charles and Frank of Chapin, Ralph of Springfield, and Mabel Maher of Beardstown. Charles was a great great grandson of Isham Bobbitt and was responsible for having the remains of Isham Bobbitt moved from the cemetery on the Paschal farm to the Bobbitt family cemetery in Chapin, Illinois, on June 6th 1938.

Walter Newton Bobbitt was born on December 15, 1877 and died on November 21, 1961. For several years he was clerk of the Christian Church in Chapin, Illinois. He was a son of Lewis M. Bobbitt.

John Charles Bobbitt was born in February 1882 and was a son of Lewis M. and Ellen (Busey) Bobbitt. He was only two years of age when his father died.

A first cousin of John G. Bobbitt lived near by. He was a son of Stephen and Elizabeth Bobbitt. Stephen was a brother to William J. Bobbitt.

These were the only families by the name of Bobbitt listed in the 1900 census of Morgan County. There were numerous other relatives in the county by other family names.
