Mr. Bobbitt was a man of powerful physique. He came from a historic Virginia family.

He was a husband who walked in love and peace beside his splendid wife through the years of their life together. He was an untiring worker who provided well for his own.

As a father he lived a humble and upright life, together with the true mother, giving counsel and guidance that gave poise and power to their children that they loved so much. He lived to see his children come to manhood and womanhood of a nature that afforded him much pleasure.

Mr. Bobbitt was a man of unquestionable integrity, true, honest, loyal and busy in the affairs of his home, church and community; ever condemming wrong, fearlessly and courageously supporting the right. He was a busy man who had time to think of the aged, poor, sick, young and all. He was a citizen of true and established ideals. Patriotism was inlaid in his very nature. Ever giving to his country. He was a supporter of his friends, asking in return nothing, deserving much.

He loved God and the church throughout his day. He was a firm believer in regeneration and the doctrines of God's word. Being well versed in them, so much so that be with confidence could teach others. When the regular hours for his church's business sessions and worship came, this faithful man of God, despite elements or care was there. He stood by God's appointed leaders and gave his possessions. He was courteous and kind to others of a different faith. A servant that shall be greatly missed by everybody. From the ranks of the few, a true and valued servant has gone. The hearts that knew him are bowed with his loved ones in sorrow. But our sorrow is not unmixed with joy for he whose passing brought loss and grief to us
