Susan (Gunn) Bobbitt was born in 1794, married in 1814, and all the children were born between 1814 and 1820. Susan died in 1825, and Miles Bobbitt married Martha Davis in 1827.
The family is recorded in the census of Warren County in 1830. One of the daughters is married, and another daughter was born between 1820 and 1825.

Miles Bobbitt recorded a will in Warren County which was written February 23, 1859. The will was probated in August 1861. The most interesting sections of the will mention all of his sons and daughters.
"I lend to my beloved wife, five negroes to wit, Giles, Mathew, Sukie, Winny, and Rebecca, during her natural life ........
"...I give to my grandson, Miles Bobbitt, at the death of my wife, Rebecca and her increase, to him and his heirs."
"I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife, Martha, all my household and kitchen furniture...."
"I give to my son Alpheus Bobbitt and his heirs, all the land of which I am seized and pocessed at the present time, consisting of the land and premises on which I now reside."
"I give to my daughters Eliza Sledge and Susan G. Wilson, one thousand dollars each, or it's value in property to them and their heirs."
"The balance of my negroes not herein disposed of, I leave to be equally divided among my four children, Eliza Sledge, Samuel Bobbitt, Lewis Bobbitt, and Susan G. Wilson."
"I appoint Samuel Bobbitt and Alpheus Bobbitt as esecutors of my estate ........"
