Witnesses: James Murphey, John Lancaster."
Charles Harris, father of Elizabeth (Harris) Bobbitt, died on December 4, 1790. The estate was not settled until May 1807 and recorded in Warren County, Book 14, page 32.
"Account in the estate of Charles Harris, deceased, by Rachel Harris, Administrix. Valuation and division of negroes among; James Mealor for his wife Sally, Frederick Harris, Simon Harris, Bedford Harris, Elizabeth and Randolph Bobbitt, Precilla and Lenn Kimbell, Patience and John Bobbitt, Nancy Harris, Charity and William Colclough, William E. Harris and my own legacy."
Rachel Harris died in 1817 and John Bobbitt was the executor of her estate. John was the husband of her daughter Patience. John Bobbitt was a son of Miles Bobbitt Senior and a first cousin twice removed to Randolph Bobbitt.
After the death of Randolph Bobbitt, Elizabeth made her home with various members of her family. She lived for a time in Warren County and for a time in Franklin County.
On April 3, 1804, Randolph Bobbitt recorded a deed to his brother-in-law, Frederick Harris, Warren County, Book 17, page 116.
"Randolph Bobbitt to Fredrick Harris, 170 acres of land for 100 pounds of Virginia money. Land adjoining Faulcons corner, Judkins Spring Branch, Lancaster's line
Witnesses: John J. Edgerton."
On November 17, 1804, an account of the estate of Randolph Bobbitt was recorded in Warren County, Will Book 12, page 319.
"Estate of Randolph Bobbitt, deceased, by Elizabeth Bobbitt, Administrix. Bond for 200 pounds to Governor James Turner. Security, Frederick Harris."
According to the records, Randolph Bobbitt died between April 3 and November 27, 1804. Frederick Harris was a bachelor brother of Elizabeth (Harris) Bobbitt. Randolph and Elizabeth named their last child Frederick Harris Bobbitt.
