Randolph Bobbitt was 49 years of age when he died. Elizabeth Bobbitt lived to be 90 years of age. Most of the children died young. John Richard Bobbitt died in 1823, Lewis Charles Bobbitt died in 1836, and Richard J. Bobbitt was deceased by 1848.

On February 1, 1848, Elizabeth Bobbitt had her will recorded in Franklin County.

"I, Elizabeth Bobbitt, appoint as my executors and agents for my two daughters and one son, by the names of Rebecca Yarborough, Sarah Woods, and Frederick Bobbitt. I appoint my friend, James Collins, as my lawful executor."

On October 2 , 1850, Elizabeth Bobbitt was living with the family of Fredrick Bobbitt, when the census of Franklin County was taken. Frederick was away from home. The family was listed as:

Elizabeth Bobbitt     90 (1760) North Carolina 

Randolph Bobbitt    14 (1836) North Carolina 

John Bobbitt           11 (1839) North Carolina 

Martha Bobbitt         8 (1842)                  North Carolina

The will of Elizabeth Bobbitt was probated on December 30 1850 in Franklin County Court. She died between October 2, 1850 and December 30, 1850 at the age of 90 years.

Frederick Bobbitt did not marry until about 1834. He lived on Sandy Creek in Franklin County. His wife died before 1850 and the three children listed above lived their entire lives on Sandy Creek.

Randolph Bobbitt served in the Confederate Army. He reared a large family and died in 1910 on Sandy Creek. Two of his sons who are well known in the Bobbitt family were Benjamin G. Bobbitt and Samuel P. Bobbitt of Raleigh, North Carolina.

John R. Bobbitt was born in June 1839. He had at least one son, named Edward Bobbitt.

Martha Bobbitt was born in September 1842, never married and lived her entire life on Sandy Creek.

The sons of Randolph and Elizabeth (Harris) Bobbitt are separate studies in our family history.
