Son of Randolph and Fanny Bobbitt
Charles Walden Bobbitt was the first child and son of Randolph and Fanny (Walden) Bobbitt. He was born on Cedar Creek in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. He lived and died in the county.
The first record of Charles Bobbitt is recorded in Deed Book 18, pages 333 and 334 of Pittsylvania County deeds.
September 20, 1813, Charles W. Bobbitt and George Berger of the county aforesaid that for and in consideration of the sum of forty one pounds, fifteen shillings and six pence, current money of Virginia to him in hand paid before sealing and delivery of these presents by the said George Berger .... a certain parcel of land on the South Side of Pigg River containing by survey 34 and 113 acres of land being part of the tract the said Bobbitt now lives, (formerly Richard Bennetts) .... at the mouth of the Pigg River........
