Son of John and Patience Bobbitt
Charles Harris Bobbitt was the second son of John and Patience (Harris) Bobbitt. He was a grandson of Charles and Rachel (Edgerton) Harris, and a grandson of Miles and Mary (Powell) Bobbitt. Charles Harris Bobbitt was born in Warren County, North Carolina in 1797.
On March 14, 1821, Charles Harris Bobbitt married Mary Ann Atherton Alston, in Halifax County. Mary Ann was a daughter of Joseph John Alston (1702-1780) Mary Ann Alston was born on August 2, 1799 in Halifax County.

After Dorothy Frances died, Evelyn Bobbitt married Thomas Jefferson Hamill, but they did not have any children. Frank Alston Bobbitt was married three times. His first spouse was a black woman named Susan Adams. His first legal marriage was to Adaline S. Allen in Halifax County on February 10, 1851. His last wife was Mary L.
