There is no indication that the two other sons of Lewis Bobbitt received any of the personal property or the land of their father.
Lewis Bobbitt Junior married Mary Person. We know from a deed recorded in Bute County, Book 6, page 177, that he was married before the year of 1776.
"Richard Maddrey of Bute County, to Joshua Capps, for 40 pounds procolmation money, for 240 acres of land, on Lick Branch Joining John Kecker, and Hazelwood. Witnesses: Lewis Bobbitt, Mary Bobbitt."
In the 1771 Bute County tax list, Lewis Junior, William and Miles Bobbitt are listed as taxable with no sons over 21 years of age. The tax list shows that the three brothers were all living in the same district, near to one another.
The state census of North Carolina taken in 1786 lists only Lewis and Miles Bobbitt in Warren County.
