William L. Bobbitt was born in Mississippi. He married Harriet M. Fay. William died on January 25, 1837 at the age of 27 just three years after his marriage. He is buried in the Old City Cemetery at Nashville, Tennessee.

Dorothy Bobbitt was born in Warren County, North Carolina. She married Major William J. Davidson of Gibson County, Tennessee. They had one child, named Ann E. Davidson. Dorothy died on November 10, 1850 at Dyer and is buried in the Bobbitt Cemetery.

Henry Bobbitt was born in North Carolina. He became a Cumberland Presbyterian minister and lived at Henry Station, in Henry County, Tennessee. Henry married Jane Dinwiddie. They had no children. Henry also owned a store and was a successful farmer. Henry Bobbitt died February 19, 1891. Both Henry and his wife were brought back to Dyer and buried in the Bobbitt Cemetery.

Susan Bobbitt married Henry M. L. Barton in Gibson County. She died in Dyer on July 20, 1892. She and her husband are both buried in the Bobbitt Cemetery at Dyer.

Frances Mary Bobbitt married John H. Dinwiddie in Gibson County. We do not know what happened to her or her family after their marriage.

Miles Bobbitt died at the age of ten years, on September 24, 1836. He was the first person buried in the Bobbitt Cemetery, sometimes called the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

John William Bobbitt was the first of the children to be born in Tennessee. John married Mary Jane Province and reared a large family. John died on May 22, 1893. Both John and Mary are buried in the Bobbitt Cemetery at Dyer.

James Bobbitt was the second child to be born in Tennessee. James was married two times, first to Eliza Ann Province, and secondly to Melissa (Hale) Wyatt. James died at the age of 34 on May 13, 1857 and is buried in the Bobbitt Cemetery at Dyer.

Benjamin Franklin Bobbitt was born in Rutherford County, Tennessee and moved with the family to Gibson County in 1830. Benjamin was married two times, first to Martha Ann Dinwiddie and secondly to Mary Elizabeth Berry. Benjamin was a merchant and well known in Gibson County. He died on July 2, 1899 and is buried in the Bobbitt Cemetery.

Martha Jane Bobbitt was the only child to be born in Gibson County. Martha married Quincy M. Greer and they had one child name Dolly Greer. Martha died at Dyer on April 6, 1857 and is buried in the Bobbitt Cemetery.
