"Mary Ann (Polly) Bobbitt married Joseph Sylvester Bales on December 27, 1866 Great Uncle Joe was a Civil War veteran, and I can remember him as a small child. I was so proud to see him in our Decoration Day parade as he marched with the other soldiers. The children of their marriage were, Stantford, Lena May, Addie Jane, James Allen, Virgil Marion, and Josie Ethel. Polly died on December 6, 1932 in Eureka, Kansas.
"Permelia Jane Bobbitt married about 1870 to Squier Cox Barron and they had two children, William Earl, and Mattie Ellen. After the death of Squier Barron, Permelia married to a man by the name of Zachary.
"Joseph Day Bobbitt and Polly Ann Barron, obtained a license in Pulaski County, Kentucky on July 28, 1848. David W. Barron was the surety. Joseph was a brother to James Washington Bobbitt. Polly Ann Barron was a sister to Squier Cox Barron who married Permelia Jane Bobbitt, daughter of James Washington Bobbitt.
"Martha Ellen Bobbitt married John Newell and they lived in Fredonia Kansas and in Missouri. They had at least five children, Maine, Doll, Ross, Flossie, and Frank."
James Washington Bobbitt died in 1880 in Pettis County. Sometime after his death, Nancy Jane Bobbitt moved to Lincoln, in Benton County, Missouri. She died in Benton County in 1891.
