March 21, 1762 Robert Moore to Miles Bobbitt, land on Great Fishing Creek, joining John Gunn, the Great Branch, and the said Fishing Creek.
May 23, 1763 Francis Capps to John Bobbitt, 300 acres of land joining John Setts, Benjamin Guiliam, Judkins, Daniel Harris and Bobbitt. Witnesses: John Smart, Lawrence Lancaster.
August 9, 1763 Lewis Bobbitt sells to William Bobbitt 160 acres of land on the south side of Reedy Creek joining Lewis Bobbitt.
The land descriptions here recorded in Granville County, were later in Bute County, and in 1779 were in Warren County. At the present time all the land mentioned here is in Warren County.
The most interesting part of these deeds are the mature Bobbitt males mentioned in the transactions, the proximity in which they lived, and how obvious it is that they knew and were related to each other.
All of the men mentioned in these deeds were men who were past twenty years of age. All had to be born before 1743.
